Our Story

At Greenwood Trading Post, we pride ourselves on being a premier gun and ammunition shop located in Greenwood, IN. We opened our doors in 2022 under the ownership of Joshua Malcolmson, who had a vision to create a one-stop-shop for all firearm enthusiasts in the area.

Our shop is conveniently located at 2081 Fairview Place, Suite A, and we can be reached at 317-910-9911. We specialize in buying, selling, and trading guns, and offer a wide range of other services including ammunition sales, custom builds, gun repairs, gun training, engravings, and disaster and survival kits.

We carry a diverse selection of products including ammo, emergency meal kits, gun grips, handguns, holsters, jewelry, knives, pistols, rifles, scopes, shotguns, and sniper rifles. Our inventory is always expanding, and we pride ourselves on offering the latest and greatest products in the industry.

In addition to our core services, we also buy gold. Whether you have gold coins, jewelry, or other items, we are happy to give you a fair price for your items.

I would recommend Greenwood Trading Post for both newbies and experienced people alike, but especially for those new to or considering a firearm. It can be intimidating to walk into a gun store as a newbie, but Josh and Greenwood Trading Post provide a welcoming and relaxed environment that is not intimidating like a lot of gun stores run by grumpy guys that expect you to know what you want, and with knowledge and follow up that you won't find at large chains with inexperienced staff. He is honest businessman and even followed up with me in off hours regarding a issue I was experiencing with something purchased from him. They sell both used and new, and if they don't have it they can order it and pricing is on par with other retailers, but with the added benefits mentioned above. Josh is very generous with his time and knowledge and will take the time to explain options, techniques, and things to consider when trying to find what will work best for you.

Joshua the owner is one of the most friendly and knowledgeable people I have encountered in any customer service experience if you are a first time gun buyer or an experienced shooter I could not recommend this place more. The other staff are just as friendly and haven’t left me with any questions unanswered either. The services offered are very hard to come by in our modern corporate world. I am so grateful to have such an awesome shop less than five minutes from where I live. They may not be the biggest store or have the largest gun selection however, based on my past experiences, I would travel over an hour and gladly wait for any transfer just to make sure I purchase from this location.
